Ignition BD was founded by James Waddilove. James has a background that spans advisory, investment and operating and he has 20 years’ experience of helping retailers, brands and distributors develop and deliver ambitious growth plans in both the UK and Australia.

Immediately prior to founding Ignition BD, James was a General Manager in Wesfarmers Business Development team, leading investments, deals and major strategic projects across their $65bn portfolio of iconic Australian businesses. He has worked with Marks and Spencer and Ocado in the UK, and was founder of Numex Consulting, a specialist e-commerce advisory firm that counted Amazon, Coke, and many others as clients.

James began his career at Deloitte in London and holds a First-Class degree from Oxford University.
